24th birthday present, a blown motor. New 3.1L V6 in the
works. 3800 project abandoned, 3.1L Nitro project in the works.

Throttle killed my car, cost me $$$ in repairs. Gonna give up
racing for a while until I can get another car.

Got DSL, very happy. Waiting on Throttle for car to come in and
headers to be finished.

Got in spoiler...got it painted...almost got it installed. It
doesn't sit right thanks to the Beretta's trunk angle near the edge. I
think I've given up on the touring spoiler idea...the Beretta is just not
made for that kind of thing.

Fixed rear window brake light and replaced scratched driver side rear
light brake and signal panel on Beretta. Groovy. Just got back
from College Station for a little reunion. I'm in too many groups of
friends...not possible to spend enough time with them all, it kinda sucks.

New plugs installed, Bosch Platinum + 4. All things considered, the
car is running better than it did last week, aside from a bit more
sensitivity on the clutch than normal.
Drag racing is pretty lame..I don't think I'm going to be doing any more
of that for a while. I'd really like to drive a real race car on a
real track someday (an oval track though, something easy) but now is not the
time be be abusing my only source of transportation.

I've been spending
too much on my car and my anime collection. I'm going to have to cut
back...just as soon as my paintjob is finished...and I get eibachs....and
a new header from Mantapart. Ok, the paint and spoiler are under
works, I'll finish that. The Eibachs and the header can wait until
next year. It'll be really tough.
Mechanics bother
me. They are like computer repairmen/sales people, you can't trust
them one bit. Turn your back for a second and they'll stick you. Ok
not all are like that, but I get the bad feeling every time I talk to
one. I really want to take some classes and become a certified
mechanic or something. If I don't trust anyone to fix my computer,
why should I trust them to fix my car?
Now, performance
shop people are different. They know you don't need to do the work,
you are doing it because you want to. They might still you on the
labor, but you know they'll do what they say they'll do... but man do you
pay for it.

Made a trip out to
the Sacramento Speedway and ran a few 1/4 miles. More info on
that in the Beretta section. I'll try to have pictures next time.
Ordered chip and thermostat for the car. Hypertech powerstat came in
just fine and was installed. Jet Memcal ECM chip came in, but was
the wrong one so I had to send it back. Once I get that done I'll
make another visit to the Wednesday night street legal drag.
